Debunking the truth behind Corona and UK Care homes.

Written by JSG 7th July 2020

Have care homes been left high and dry during this pandemic?

Were they left for weeks without guidance about how to contain the outbreak?

Our has the propaganda machine kicked in again to hide the alarming truth?

Since the beginning of the outbreak the UK has been watching the evolving spread of coronavirus.

Just like a nightmarish pandemic movie the disease came from nowhere. Forcing the closure of schools and bringing restrictions to our daily way of life.

From the beginning of this pandemic the UK media has focused on the plight of UK care homes and there struggle to combat coronavirus.

Yet again the Government has come under increasing pressure to explain why lives have been put at risk because they were slow to provide guidance, testing and control measures to stop the spread of this killer virus.

BBC and the left wing propaganda machine have been quick to attack the Conservative Government but havegot it wrong?

Either because poor research, or certain facts have been omitted or even through a deliberate attempt to cover up the truth.

Firstly coronavirus hasn't come from nowhere.

Research shows that these Zoonotic viruses have been slowing increasing for over 2 decades with now 6 identified human coronaviruses.

Surely you've heard of Swine flu and Bird flu?

That's right both coronavirus, both passed from animals to human.

So let's look at the claim 'that the Government was slow to react putting care homes at risk"

Since the SARs outbreak in 2002-2003 and the 2009 Avian Influenza outbreak the Government has been monitoring care homes for such an outbreak.

2009 the Government has increased health surveillance on Influenza type diseases that lead to SARs (severe acute respiratory syndrome) information was collected through DATAMART and issued on the Weekly Influenza report [1]  [2]

As part of this surveillance the number of confirmed outbreaks and their locations where reported, included in this CARE Homes, Schools and Prisons.

2012 a new more deadly coronavirus hits the world transmitted from Bats to Camels to human. Its is believed to infect humans through contact with camels, infested camel products, siliva, milk, Urine, excrement, our by people who have been within 2 metres of an infected person's or who have been looking after the elderly and infirm.

The World health organisation deemed the risk of the spread of the disease as low, unless you had travelled to, from or around the middle east or South East Asia and the China sea.

2013-2020 many organisations, including the WHO, UK Government, Public health England, Euro Surveillance, CDC produced guidance, including

recognition of symptoms,
how to deal with an outbreak,
what PPE should be use and testing equipment to use. [4]

2016 Warnings and guidance where issued across the globe about Coronavirus outbreak.

The UK tests its readiness with Exercise "Cygnus". An emergency response exercise to assess how the NHS would cope in a Influenza style disease that leads to SARs.

The main question still stands who is responsible for lack of readiness to deal with coronavirus outbreaks?

Should it be the Government and Public health, care quality commission or the Care home owners?

In 2019 the Guardian published "84% of all UK care homes are privately owned".

Under health and safety at work act.

Therefore surely if guidance and warnings have been issued by the Government and Public health then surely this is down to the owners and their directors to ensure these processes and equipment are in place. Especially when they have been told what to do since 2013.

Who is at fault? maybe questions need to be asked as to why staff training, risk assessments, necessary equipment and PPE weren't in place?

Was it down to the cost?

Was this another case of profit over people?

Should legal action be brought against those care homes that were provided with notice and guidance since 2013.

Our should a full enquiry be held to indicate those who decided not to implement these safety requirements?

Whatever comes next one thing is for sure the UK media has got it wrong.
